(NASHVILLE, TN – June 10, 2025) – Three-time GRAMMY nominated Quartz Hill Records artist Joe Nichols was recognized for recently earning four RIAA-certified platinum singles - as well as an additional 2x platinum RIAA-certified single - this past Wednesday evening (6/4) at his annual Fan Appreciation Party at the Troubadour Theatre in Nashville.
Nichols was surprised with official plaques celebrating his achievements for the following platinum singles:
· “Sunny and 75”
· “Yeah”
· “Brokenheartsville”
· “Gimmie That Girl”
Nichols was also presented with a special plaque signifying 2x platinum status for his chart-topping smash hit, “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off.” A full list of Nichols’ RIAA certifications and credits can be found HERE.
Adding to the excitement, Nichols gave away an official platinum plaque to an unsuspecting member of his fan club audience. He also presented a celebratory plaque to his long-time label head Benny Brown who championed the platinum singles “Yeah” and “Sunny and 75” during their time together at RED Bow Records/ BBR Music Group. Brown is also the founder of Nichols’ current label, Quartz Hill Records.
"I'm grateful to the RIAA for this honor, and to everyone I've worked with over the years but, sales and streams are really about my fans and how they've reacted to the music," said Nichols. "That support honestly means the world to me and is what inspires me every day. So, being presented with these plaques at my fan party made it extra special, and I love that we organized an extra plaque for me to give away to one of the fans in a lucky draw. Tonight, I'm feeling pretty darn lucky myself, too."
“The RIAA is proud to recognize Joe Nichols’ lasting influence on Country music, marked by a 2x Platinum single, a Platinum album, and more than 8 million certified units in the US. Celebrating these incredible milestones alongside so many dedicated fans and creative partners who continue to support his music underscores the enduring impact of human artistry,” said Erin Burr, Senior Vice President of RIAA Media Relations, Gold + Platinum Program.
